Habits built.

HabitQuest gives your family one simple thing to do each day — a meal your family will actually eat, or an activity your child actually wants to do.

Free to download · Built for children aged 6–12

Designed by an NHS paediatrician Clinically reviewed content No calorie counting No weight talk, ever

See how it works

Under two minutes — the parent side, the child side, and everything in between.

No sound needed — captions are built in.

You’ve heard the advice. It’s the doing that’s hard.

Eat more vegetables. Move more. Less screen time. Every parent knows.

But knowing was never the problem. The problem is six o’clock on a Tuesday, everyone’s tired, and you need something on the table that your child will actually eat.

HabitQuest doesn’t add to your list. It takes one thing off it, every day.

Built around your food

37 cuisines, so suggestions fit how your family actually cooks — not a generic meal plan.

Five minutes a day

One meal idea. One activity. That’s the whole ask.

No guilt if you miss a day

Life happens. HabitQuest picks up where you left off, without making you feel bad about it.

One small thing, every day

Set up once. Then open it for a minute each morning.

1

Tell us about your family

What you cook, what your child loves, what’s in the cupboard. Five minutes, once.

2

Get today’s plan

One meal idea and one activity, chosen for your family. Not a generic list — yours.

3

Your child joins in

They get their own quests, their own Habit Cat, and their own reasons to care.

Two apps in one

Because habits are a family thing, not a child thing.

For you

Meal ideas that fit your kitchen and your budget. Healthy swaps that don’t feel like a punishment. Gentle daily coaching — and not a single lecture.

For your child

Daily quests, food adventures and a Habit Cat that grows as they build habits. They open it themselves. That’s the entire point.

Why HabitQuest is different

Never about weight

Your child never sees a number about their body. No BMI. No calories. No weight. Not once. This was a clinical decision, and it is not negotiable.

Made for your kitchen

Whether your family cooks Nigerian, Pakistani, Caribbean, Somali or anything else, the suggestions are built around food you already buy.

Designed in clinic

Created by an NHS paediatric doctor who sees these families every week — not retrofitted from an adult fitness app.

Made for real life

No gym. No expensive ingredients. No equipment. Everything works in a normal home on a normal evening.

“I’d see a family in clinic, we’d talk about food and activity, and they’d leave with a leaflet and good intentions. Two months later nothing had changed — not because they didn’t care, but because nobody had given them anything they could actually use on a Tuesday night.”

Dr Arbind Hehar NHS Paediatric Doctor · Founder of HabitQuest

Why I built this

HabitQuest came out of a clinical audit of children with type 2 diabetes at a North West London NHS trust. Every child in that group came from a minority ethnic background. Most lived in the most deprived areas of the country.

Their weight and blood sugar barely improved, even with escalating medication — because nothing we were doing reached the part that actually mattered: what happens at home, every day.
