1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the HabitQuest app and website, provided by HabitQuest Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17349841). By creating an account you accept these terms.
2. HabitQuest is not medical advice
Important. HabitQuest is a lifestyle and habit-building tool. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Nothing in the app is medical advice.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your child’s health. If your child has a medical condition, a prescribed diet, an eating disorder, or any condition affecting their ability to exercise, speak to their clinician before using HabitQuest.
If you are worried about your child’s health, contact your GP or NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999.
3. Who can use HabitQuest
Accounts may only be created by someone aged 18 or over with parental responsibility for the child or children on the account. Content is designed for children aged 6–12.
By creating an account you confirm you have parental responsibility and consent to the processing described in our privacy policy.
4. Your account
Keep your login details secure and don’t share them. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse HabitQuest. Specifically, don’t attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, reverse engineer the app, use it for any unlawful purpose, or upload anything harmful or offensive.
6. Content and intellectual property
All content in HabitQuest — including meal plans, activities, the Habit Cat characters, text, graphics and software — belongs to HabitQuest Ltd or our licensors. You may use it for your family’s personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute or commercially exploit it.
7. Allergies and dietary requirements
You are responsible for entering allergies and dietary requirements accurately, and for checking ingredients before preparing any meal. We filter content based on what you tell us, but we cannot verify ingredients in food you buy or prepare. Always read labels.
8. Physical activity
Activities in HabitQuest are designed to be low-to-moderate intensity and suitable for the age band selected. You are responsible for supervising your child and judging whether an activity is appropriate for them. Stop immediately if your child is in pain or distress.
9. Availability
We aim to keep HabitQuest available but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) any amounts you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, or (b) £100.
11. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time through the app or our deletion form. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
13. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
