Accessibility statement

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Complete this after your WCAG 2.2 AA audit. Do not claim a compliance level you have not tested. Claiming full compliance without an audit is worse than honestly stating partial compliance with a plan.

This statement applies to the HabitQuest mobile app and the website at habitquest.uk, run by HabitQuest Ltd.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use HabitQuest. That means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your device settings
  • zoom in up to 300% without text spilling off the screen
  • navigate using only a keyboard or switch device
  • navigate using speech recognition software
  • use a screen reader, including VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android

We have also tried to keep the language as simple as possible, and the children’s interface is designed to work across a range of reading abilities.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible HabitQuest is

[COMPLETE AFTER AUDIT. List known issues honestly. For example: some images do not yet have text alternatives; some interactive elements are below the minimum target size.]

Feedback and contact

If you need information from HabitQuest in a different format — large print, easy read, audio, braille — contact us at info@habitquest.uk. We will consider your request and get back to you within five working days.

Reporting problems

If you find a problem not listed here, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please email info@habitquest.uk so we can put it right.

Enforcement

The Equality and Human Rights Commission enforces the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you are unhappy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.

The accessibility regulations formally apply to public sector bodies. HabitQuest Ltd is a private company, so they do not apply directly — but we have duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.

Technical information

HabitQuest Ltd is committed to making its app and website accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.

Compliance status

[CHOOSE ONE AFTER AUDIT: fully compliant / partially compliant, due to the issues below / not compliant, with the plan below.]

Non-accessible content

[List each issue, the WCAG 2.2 criterion it fails with its number, and when you will fix it.]

What we are doing to improve

[Describe your plan and timescales. For example: an independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit is scheduled for [date]; we will publish the findings here and fix all Level A and AA issues before pilot launch; we will review this statement every six months.]

How we tested

[State when it was last tested, who tested it, and how — for example using an approach based on WCAG-EM, testing a representative sample of screens with automated tools and manual assistive technology testing.]
